    SCSSM is a community mental health service for lesbian, gay bisexual & transgender persons & their families. Providing comprehensive mental health services including chemical dependency, domestic violence, adult, older adult, youth, and HIV/AIDS counseling services.

  • 45th Street Clinic
    Community clinic for Wallingford and the University District. GLBT friendly. Sliding scale fees; Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance accepted.

  • Aurora Medical Services
    Provides supportive, queer-friendly reproductive healthcare for ALL women, including insemination services, annual exams, STD testing and treatment, and menopause care. Female clinicians, sliding fee scale, most insurances and state medical coupons accepted.

  • Country Doctor Community Clinic
    Community Based Primary Care clinic; sliding scale - no one turned away for lack of funds; evening hours; pediatrics, geriatrics, well-care, obstetrics, HIV care; Spanish spoken. Sliding scale fees; Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance accepted. GLBT friendly all hours and Spectrum Natural Health at County Doctor Community Health Clinic offers primary and naturopathic care specifically for the LGBTQ community every Thursday, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Providers have been serving the LGBTQ community for many years. For information and to make an appointment, call 206-299-1600. Recommended for youth.

    International Community Health Services (ICHS) specifically targets its services to the Asian/Pacific Islander communities, yet strives to serve the health needs of all individuals, in a manner sensitive to the patient's language and cultural needs.

    Ensure equal opportunity for all through the effective enforcement of anti-discrimination ordinances and implementation of the County's civil rights programs.

  • Safe Schools Coalition
    Safe Schools works to make schools safe for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students, educators and parents. Free staff training. Intervention for students who are being harassed.

  • Seattle Civil Service Commission
    Enforces ordinances prohibiting discrimination in employment, housing, public accommodations, and city services, and develops programs promoting equality, justice, and understanding.

  • Washington State Human Rights Commission
    Investigates HIV/AIDS discrimination complaints; provides information and referrals.

    Water Women Swims is a private, unstructured swim in the northend of Seattle for Women of Size and their fat-supportive (friendly) female allies. The large cool-water pool (85-degrees) is accessible by stairs/handrail. There is also a hot therapy pool (95-degrees). Women of all orientations are welcome.
