PARTNERSHIPS AND PRODUCTS
|
- Partnered with the Access to Baby and Child Dentistry (ABCD) program which recruited and trained 230 Dentists and clinics in 3 counties between July 2002 and June 2006 to see Medicaid-eligible children from birth through age five. ABCD focuses on preventive and restorative dental care for children with an emphasis on the first dental visit by age one.
- 1020 community staff members and parents were trained on maternal depression and maternal-child oral health issues
- Produced Development and Oral Health “Red Flags” checklists, available at www.metrokc.gov/health/kgc.
- Produced an educational videos for parents in eight languages explaining Well Child Checks and the Importance of Baby Teeth available at www.metrokc.gov/health/kgc.
