One cancer survivor's story
"At 35 years of age, I was a stay-at-home mother who knew very little about breast cancer," said Bridgette Richardson. "But one day the lord talked to me, and told me to get a breast exam. It turned out that I had breast cancer."
Now, Richardson is an Outreach Education Specialist in Public Health's Breast and Cervical Health Program. "Breast exams are not a secret or a shame. In fact, they save lives," she added.
