Briefing: Mental Health
Today's briefing will consist of an overview of the King County Mental Health Citizen's Advisory Board, a broad overview of the King County mental health system and a Board discussion regarding the intersections between public health and mental health. |

The purpose of this briefing is to provide details of the 2004 Public Health budget as submitted to the County Executive. |

Briefing: Title 10 - Solid Waste Handling
Due to the adoption of WAC Chapter 173-350 Solid Waste Handling Standards, Department staff will be reviewing a number of proposed changes to the Code of the King County Board of Health including:

Proposed repeal of Rules and Regulations No. 8 as amended and Title 10 of the Code of the King County Board of Health; |
| 2. |
Proposed new Title 10. |
| 3. |
Proposed amendments for the protection of public health against the spread of disease from solid waste; regulating solid waste storage, collection, transportation, treatment, utilization, processing and disposal; revising definitions, fees and requirements for biomedical waste handling, and landfilling; |
| 4. |
Proposed adoption of state standards for solid waste handling and state standards for municipal solid waste landfills; and |
| 5. |
Proposed merger of certain Seattle Health Code solid waste handling provisions into the Code of the King County Board of Health. |
