Due to the adoption of WAC Chapter 173-350 Solid Waste Handling Standards, the Board of Health will be voting on a number of proposed changes to the Code of the King County Board of Health Title 10 - Solid Waste Handling.

10. Briefing: Mental Health

Today's briefing is a follow up to the briefing held on October 17th. The Mental Health and Health Care Coalition for Communities of Color (MHHC Coalition) will present information from the Surgeon General's reports on mental health, report on access and availability of mental health services for people of color, and discuss the cultural competence of the mental health care workforce. In addition, presenters will share some of the major recommendations from the MHHC Coalition's Report to the Governor, "Bridging the Gap"; a report on mental health and health care issues impacting people of color.
