KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON - The King County Board of Health will hold its next meeting on Friday, July 15, 2005, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The meeting will be held at:

King County Council Chambers
10th Floor, King County Courthouse
516 Third Avenue, Seattle

9. Presentation of the Request for Proposal for the Public Health Operational Master Plan (PH OMP)
Toni Rezab, Office of Management and Budget in the Executive’s Office will discuss criteria in the the Request for Proposal for consultants of the OMP.
10. Update on HIV/AIDS
Robert W. Wood, MD, FACP, Director, HIV/AIDS Program and Charles Wilson, POCAAN will present information on the status of outreach and prevention efforts related to HIV/AIDS in King County. Tina Podlodowski, Executive Director, Lifelong AIDS Alliance and a panel of three (3) King County residents living with HIV will discuss the continuum of HIV/AIDS care and difficulties with on-going funding.

The King County Board of Health sets county-wide public health policy, enacts and enforces local public health regulations, and carries out other duties of local boards of health specified in state law. These duties include enforcing state public health statutes, preventing and controlling the spread of infectious disease, abating nuisances, and establishing fee schedules for licenses, permits and other services.
