2nd Annual South King County Latina Health Fair
Monday, September 5, 2006

KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON - To increase access to health care for women and families, local health organizations are coming together on September 9 to provide free health screenings, health information and community resources at the 2nd Annual South King County Latina Health Fair.

The 2nd Annual South King County Latina Health Fair
September 9, 9a.m. - 3 p.m.
Grace Community Church
1320 Auburn Way S.
Auburn, Washington

Spanish-speaking staff will be present at the fair. Interested women can call 206-205-6973 to make a mammogram appointment.

This year’s Health of King County report by Public Heath - Seattle & King County shows that south King County experiences lower health status and more limited access to health care when compared with other areas of the county. In addition, Latinos are disproportionately affected by higher rates of adolescent births, physical inactivity, HIV and access to care.

The 2nd Annual South King County Latina Health Fair is a collaboration between Public Health - Seattle & King County, the Komen Foundation, the Washington Breast & Cervical Health Program, YWCA, Community Health Plan, Washington Health Foundation’s Community Health Access Program, and Grace Community Church.
