King County Board of Health meeting on January 18, 2007

KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON - The King County Board of Health will hold its next meeting on Thursday, January 18, 2007, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The meeting will be held at: 

King County Council Chambers
10th Floor, King County Courthouse
516 3rd Avenue, Seattle

Agenda

1. Call to order

2. Announcement of any alternates serving in place of regular members

3. Approval of minutes of the December 15, 2006 meeting (Action Item)

4. General public comments

5. Chair's report

6. Board members' updates

7. Director's report

8. Administrator's report

9. Election of 2007 King County Board of Health Officers (Action item)

10. Resolution No. 07-01 (Action item)
A resolution adopting the 2007 work program for the King County Board of Health will be discussed. The Board will then vote on the Resolution.

11. BOH Briefing No. 07-B01
Toni Rezab, PHOMP Project Manager will update the Board on the Public Health Operational Master Plan (PHOMP).

12. BOH Briefing No. 07-B03
Jane McKenzie, Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office will review the rulemaking authority of the King County Board of Health.

13. BOH Briefing No. 07-B02
Erin MacDougall, PhD, Manager, Healthy Eating and Active Living, Public Health - Seattle & King County and Donna Oberg, RD, MPH, Nutrition Consultant, Public Health - Seattle & King County will present to the Board of Health potential strategies to reduce the intake of trans fat in King County.
