(1) Bail Forfeiture. No forfeiture of bail shall be allowed except in those matters designated by the King County District Court Uniform Bail Schedule as forfeitable offenses. Provided, that in extraordinary cases the court shall have discretion to permit forfeiture for offenses designated as nonforfeitable. In any such case the state or city involved shall be permitted an opportunity to resist such forfeiture if desired. The court may at any time for good cause shown order a mandatory hearing for violations designated in the King County District Court Uniform Bail Schedule as forfeitable offenses.
(2) King County District Court Uniform Bail Schedule. King County District Court shall follow the bail schedule set forth in CrRLJ 3.2(m)-(s) with the following modifications and additions:RCW 9A.88.030 Prostitution $1,000 9A.88.090 Permitting Prostitution $1,000 9A.88.110 Patronizing a Prostitute $1,000 12.63.010 Unlawful Acts Relating to Prostitution $1,000(3) Domestic Violence Offenses. Bail shall not be set for a person arrested for a new domestic violence offense unless set by a judge telephonically at the time of arrest, or at a preliminary appearance, arraignment or subsequent court appearance. “Domestic violence” includes but is not limited to any of the misdemeanor or gross misdemeanor offenses listed in RCW 10.99.020(3), or similar municipal ordinance, when committed by one family or household member against another. “Family or household members” are those persons listed in RCW 10.99.020(1) or similar municipal ordinance. (4) Bail for Unscheduled Offenses. Bail for unscheduled misdemeanors shall be $250 unless otherwise set by statute or ordinance. Bail for unscheduled gross misdemeanors shall be $500 unless otherwise set by statute or ordinance. (5) Verification of Identity and Address. Bail, as set forth in, CrRLJ 3.2, or in any similar rule, shall only be available to defendants who have provided sufficient information to establish a positive and verifiable identity and home address.
