Cirque du Soleil Closed the curtain on its 2008 Marymoor tour

It was a great run this year, and King County Parks hopes to welcome Cirque back for another amazing show in the near future.

Cirque du Soleil brought Varekai to King County’s Marymoor Park in May of 2006, and Corteo in April of 2008. With those two events came $1,270,000 in proceeds to help support the maintenance and operations of King County Parks and millions of dollars of economic development to Redmond and nearby businesses. This unprecedented partnership was also the inaugural event for the Recreation and Event pad within the park. In 2006, Fifty-three performances brought in over 130,000 visitors to Marymoor Park making it the Cirque’s most successful show on their West Coast tour.
