Community indicators
Community indicators, such as average commute lengths and infant mortality rates, describe the state of the environment or community. When you see this question "What is the state of the county?" at the top of a page, you'll know you're looking at a community indicator. King County government has some influence over community indicators, but many other actors must also be at work to move those indicators in a positive direction.
