The Department of Assessments is responsible for appraising approximately 641,000 commercial, industrial and residential properties in King County. Real property valuation increased $27,272,549,118 or 10.7% over the prior year, for a total of $283,037,312,656.

Personal Property staff assessed approximately 60,500 accounts for 2007 taxes. Personal property valuation increased by $911,560,273 or 6.2% over the prior year, for a total of $15,717,886,403.
