What Happened at the Council

At today’s Council meeting, councilmembers:
• Received the 2008 Executive Proposed Budget from County Executive Ron Sims. For more information on the 2008 Budget process, visit the Council’s Budget Website at www.kingcounty.gov/council
• Held for one week an ordinance relating to the reorganization of the Department of Public Safety (Substitute Ordinance 2007-0418.2).
• Appointed state representative Joe McDermott to fill the vacancy in the 34th Legislative District of the Washington state Senate (Motion 2007-0540).
