Committee Unanimously Approves Final Districting Plan
The independent citizen Districting Committee charged with
redrawing the boundaries of the Metropolitan King County Council districts
today adopted the final districting plan with a unanimous vote, reducing
the number of Council districts from 13 to nine.

Committee Presents Draft Districting Plan
The draft plan, prepared by Districting Master John Schlosser,
is based upon both data supplied to him by the members of the Districting
Committee and public comment the committee received during four public
hearings held throughout King County.

four proposed alternative plans reducing the number of Council districts
from 13 to nine.
