Metropolitan King County Councilmember Dow Constantine issued this statement on voter approval of “Transit Now,” the proposal to raise the sales and use tax in King County by one-tenth of one percent to add more frequent and faster bus service to the county's busiest and most congested roads and highways:

“King County voters have given us the green light—now we will expand and improve Metro bus service across King County. The approval of ‘Transit Now’ is a key step in providing people with affordable and reliable alternatives to automobile travel.”
