King County Superior Court Facilities Master Plan
King County Superior Court administers justice and related services for legal matters in civil, criminal, children and family courts. The Superior Court Targeted Facilities Master Plan (FMP) effort is focused on the facility needs for the resolution of legal disputes involving children and families. The proceedings resulting from these disputes can be complex and demanding, with a high priority of keeping families whole while acting in the best interest of the children involved. Added to this case complexity and necessary corresponding service delivery challenges, are issues with the court facilities used to resolve these cases, including: public spaces, courtrooms, meeting rooms, accessibility, administrative and office spaces, detention space, among other operational/facility issues.
