Helping Employers Find Skilled Workers

Employer services include developing and maintaining quality relationships with employers to provide assistance with staffing needs and customized training.

KCJI assists employers to find trained and job-ready workers in these employment sectors:

  • Manufacturing
  • Construction
  • Warehouse
  • Short-haul truck driving
  • Hazardous materials technician
  • Office occupations
  • Electronic assembly
  • Certified nursing/hospital assistant
  • Airport related jobs

Our services to employers are free of charge and include:

  • Recruitment of a diverse pool of applicants
  • Assessment and screening
  • Providing qualified and skilled applicants with job readiness training
  • Regular contact with client for the first year of employment to address job retention issues
  • Support services to address barriers clients may encounter such as childcare, transportation, and other emergency needs that may arise.

Available jobs must pay a minimum of $9 per hour, preferably with benefits. Jobs must be in one of our targeted sectors.

KCJI has a remarkable job retention rate of 89% which means that 89% of participants placed in jobs, remain in their jobs one year from the date of job placement.

Because we serve low income participants, you may also qualify for the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) that provides a tax credit for hiring a low income individual.

We request your input as we continue to look at our new strategic initiatives. This will ensure that we provide relevant vocational skills training for KCJI job seekers to assist with your immediate and long term needs.
