Aging Services Funding Policy
In 2001, the Community Services Division (CSD) developed a new funding policy for Aging Services. The senior population in the unincorporated areas is projected to grow 16% by the year 2006. The intent of the new policy is to ensure continued access to key aging services for the residents of unincorporated King County. Stakeholders countywide favorably reviewed the draft policy, which was later adopted by the Regional Policy Committee. The 2002 and 2003 Executive budgets for Aging Services were developed using the 2001 Aging Services Funding Policy. CSD service delivery contracts for senior centers, adult day care and adult day health facilities, and other senior services require specific levels of services to unincorporated area residents.
