Seeking Public Comment:
Amendments to the Consolidated Housing and Community Development
Plan for 2005-2009
King County Housing and Community Development Program is
seeking public comment on Amendments to the Consolidated Housing & Community
Development Plan for 2005-2009.
King County receives approximately $12.2 million
in federal funds (CDBG, HOME and Emergency Shelter Grant funds) from HUD each
year, on behalf of King County and 34 cities and towns in King County that make
up the Consortia. These funds may be used for a wide range of activities that
primarily benefit very low to moderate-income households, pursuant to the goals
and objectives established in a five-year Consolidated Housing and Community
Development Plan. The Consortia also uses the Consolidated Plan to guide the
allocation of other state and local funds that meet the same objectives.
The King County Consortia is amending the 2005-2009 Consolidated Plan and seeking
public comments on the amendments. The proposed amendments to the Consolidated
Plan will be available for review and comment from August 15, 2008 through
September 15, 2008.
