Points of interest include:
- The number of people served is no longer increasing, however hours of
service per client continues to decrease.
- About 80% of people served have been enrolled in Medicaid during the year.
- Nearly all Medicaid-enrolled individuals are seen in ongoing outpatient
services, while nearly all non-Medicaid are seen in non-outpatient crisis
services.
- Of all ethnic minority groups, only Asian/Pacific Islander adults continue
to be below their proportion in the larger King County population (parity <1).
- There has been a slight decline in the proportion of children served over
the last two years in contrast to a slight increase in adults and older
adults.
- Tier distribution continues to shift toward 3A benefits, with about 80% of
people receiving services currently under this benefit level.
- Voluntary and involuntary inpatient admissions declined for adults and
especially for youth compared with 2005, however use of Western State Hospital
bed days continues to increase.
- Improvements in the rate of paid employment and age appropriate activity
attainment has continued over the last year.
