 The Advisory Committee

The King County Section 504/ADA Advisory Committee is comprised of members of the community who have personal experience and/or professional expertise in disability access. Established in 1990, the Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the King County Executive. Members serve three-year terms and can serve as members for two consecutive terms. Staff support is provided by the Committee Administrator, who is housed in the King County Office of Civil Rights.

Committee member qualifications:
arrow Must be King County residents
arrow Represent a wide variety of disability groups, racial and ethnic diversity, and geographical areas

To apply:

Obtain an application from the Committee Administrator or click here for an application. The Committee invites applicants to attend a meeting and discuss their background and interests. The Committee sends nominations to the King County Executive, who appoints new members and forwards their names to the Metropolitan King County Council for confirmation.
