
- Don't buy hazardous household products in the first place. Use safe
substitutes.
- Buy the smallest amount you need for the job.
- Buy the product with the lowest level of warning on the label. For example,
buy "caution" instead of "danger."
- Use up what you have. Read the label and follow all the instructions.
Ask your parents before using hazardous products - some are too dangerous for
kids to use.
- If you can't use it up, give it away to someone who will.
- As a last resort, dispose of household hazardous waste safely. In King
