Public Health – Seattle & King County |
Enforces state and local health regulations on public and private property. Responds to complaints, performs site assessments, and takes action as needed to control, prevent and/or abate a health related issue/concern. |
King County Dept. of Development & Environmental Services |
Enforces nuisance provisions of the Uniform Housing Code and zoning violations, usually accumulation of junk and debris on private property in unincorporated King County. |
King County Road Services Division |
Responds to complaints and removes illegally dumped materials from public roads and right-of-ways. |
Local Hazardous Waste Management Program in King County |
Responds to abandonment, illegal dumping, and mishandling complaints for potentially hazardous waste materials. |
King County Solid Waste Division |
Responds to complaints about illegal construction, demolition, and landclearing debris dumping, litter and illegal dumping near County solid waste facilities; provides cleanup of litter and illegal dumping on public lands and waterways; and implements state litter and illegal dumping programs that include assistance to the cities. |
King County Water & Land Resources Division |
Protects surface and ground water quality by reducing and controlling the discharge of contaminants. Provides education and informational assistance to encourage compliance. |
Suburban Cities |
Enforce municipal littering and illegal dumping ordinances, and provide cleanup of litter and illegally dumped material from city streets and properties. |
