Transfer Station Tours

The Renton transfer station is one of several King County facilities that are open for tours by appointment.

Visit a King County transfer station or the regional landfill to see where municipal garbage is disposed. Or visit a private recycling facility to see where our recyclables end up.

Cedar Hills Regional Landfill Tours

Arrange for a tour of this 920-acre landfill that has received national recognition for its advanced operations. Limit of up to one full school bus of students per tour, one tour per day, during school hours only. Contact the Solid Waste Division's operations office at 206-296-4490 or request more information online.

Transfer Station Tours

All of King County's transfer stations are open for tours by appointment. The Enumclaw Transfer Station is a state-of-the-art facility that features a recycling center, public facilities, and artwork made from recycled materials. the Solid Waste Division's operations office at 206-296-4490 or request more information online.
