Education & Schools Assistance

King County Solid Waste Division (SWD) offers educational programs and materials on recycling and resource conservation for schools at the preschool, elementary and secondary levels. Other services include teacher workshops on household hazardous waste and assistance to schools to improve recycling and other resource conservation practices. Assistance to School Facilities

Get help to improve or expand your school's waste reduction and recycling practices. Or become a Green School by adopting a slate of conservation measures.

Hazardous Waste School Program

Attend a teacher training workshop on household hazardous waste and receive materials, project assistance and follow-up classroom presentations.
