Many projects have been undertaken since the implementation of the Green Building Initiative.

  • Creation and launch of the online LEED™ Supplement for King County
  • Compilation of an annual progress report (PDF, 211 K) of LEED™ projects
  • Planning of professionally facilitated eco-charrettes to train and familiarize members of the team, as well as project managers, budget personnel, planners, designers and engineers on LEED™ and sustainable building techniques, approaches and materials
  • LEED™ for Existing Buildings certification for King Street Center
  • LEED™ for New Construction certification for the Kent Pullen Regional Communication and Emergency Coordination Center and Power Distribution Headquarters.
