Earth Hero Program

Meet our August & September 2000 Corporate Earth Hero!

The Boeing Company
The largest aerospace company in the world, the Boeing Company models environmental and social responsibility through its green building and development practices, employee commuter programs, effective and innovative recycling and waste prevention programs, design and management strategies, and various energy reduction efforts. These programs have resulted in cost savings while making a significant impact on the region’s air, land and water quality.

Additionally, Boeing has supported the Tri-County salmon recovery efforts as well as the work of conservation groups including the Nature Conservancy, EarthCorps, The Woodland Park Zoo, and others.

Through its Loaned Executive Program, Boeing has provided the staff time and talent of Ken Konigsmark for seven years to the Mountain to Sound Greenway and to land preservation.
