Swamp Creek
Mitigation Project
An ambitious effort to restore nearly 35 acres of high quality
wetlands for water quality, flooding and habitat. Currently King
County owns several critical pieces of property along Swamp Creek,
that over the course of the next 5 years will be used for the
largest wetland mitigation project in King County. $5 million
project partner with private and public sector interest.

Agreement on Acceptable Standards
A major effort to partner with leading biologist both in the
public and private sector to identify clear and objective standards
with regards to wetland protection. In a time of increasing
urbanization due to our strong economy, it is critical that we
protect these sensitive and important natural resources.
