Earth Legacy Initiative

Youth Involvement

Our youth are the environmental stewards of today and tomorrow. King County is committed to including our young people in the preservation of our environment. We will be implementing extensive efforts to work with young people in schools, community organizations, and non-profit groups by offering educational and volunteer programs for youth 11-18 years of age.

Our young people will learn about the value of environmental stewardship, participate in the planting of 200,000 trees, and share their experiences with other youth across the County to encourage greater participation.

See our Earth Legacy Programs for more information. Or consider joining one of our volunteer efforts with your classroom, youth group, or organization.
