As a schoolteacher for 28 years, I know what service to my
community truly means. In the past eight years, I have attended countless North
Bend City related meetings including those of city council, planning commission,
public safety, and economic development. I am well-read and up-to-date on city
issues and current strategies. I am familiar with our comprehensive plan,
ordinances, and municipal code. I am willing to devote the extensive personal
time and resources it takes to be a council member. I believe that the next four
years are critical for our city. The increased pressure of urban sprawl will
require us to make many decisions. That will affect the future livability of our
community. I am willing to apply my experience to our attempts to preserve our
rural character through "smart growth." May I please have your support to serve
as your city council representative?
