As a longtime
resident of the city I hope to closely reflect the aspirations and attitudes of
all city residents. I believe that my background on the planning commission and
in business management can help the city operate both economically and smoothly.
We have much work to do in the coming years. Retaining the single-family
residential character of the city while promoting a progressive attitude toward
structural improvements is vital.
Growth in South King County impacts our city. The third
runway threatens our environment. Aggressive measures must be taken to stop it.
The safety of our streets and sidewalks must be maintained. Our sewer and
electric utilities are in transition. We have an excellent city staff that must
be supported. The next four years will be exciting and challenging. I would like
to be part of the team that takes on these challenges.
