For the past 6 years I’ve had the privilege to serve you on
the City Council. My commitment from the beginning was one thing...to make
Newcastle a safe and comfortable environment for our families. With nothing to
gain from my service except providing our families with a quality environment to
live and grow in I’ve dedicated myself to listening, to forwarding your issues,
to holding the line on a "bloated" bureaucracy, to holding taxes below what we’d
have had with the County, and to providing a forum for any citizen of Newcastle
to know their voice can be heard. My commitment remains the same...the 3
C’s...community, communication, commitment. I pledge to work hard to keep
Newcastle a community you’re proud to live in, to always look for opportunities
to hear from you, and to maintain the commitment to strive for a safe City for
our families.

I am running for the Newcastle City Council position because
this is the community we have chosen to raise our family. I believe I can make a
difference as our city moves forward and faces both fiscal and growth challenges
over the next four years.
With my diverse business background I am committed to making
our city run more efficiently and effectively. In order to meet our future goals
I believe that the members of the City Council along with City Management and
staff need to be accountable for keeping budgets balanced and meeting set
timelines.
Over the past 7 years I have had the pleasure of serving as a
member of the Meadowview Park Homeowners Assoc., Apollo PTA, Newcastle Chamber
of Commerce and The YMCA Father/Daughter program. My wife Julie and I have three
children and reside in the neighborhood of Meadowview Park.
