As an appointed member to
the Renton School District Board of Directors I have had the opportunity to work
closely with the School Board, School District Staff, Teachers and parents to
provide a safe and positive learning environment for all the students in the
District. My service to the community as the past Chairman of the Board of the
Greater Renton Chamber of Commerce, the past Chairman of the Renton Human Rights
& Affairs Commission, member of the Citizens Advisory Committee for Instructions
and presently as a member of the Board of Directors and Citizens Advisory
Council of Community in Schools of Renton, and a mentor in the Renton School
District has shown me the type of involvement necessary for a successful School
District/Community. Even though my primary responsibility is representing the
Students/Parents/Schools of Director District 2, my overall responsibility is
the entire School District.
