It is comprised of a 5 square mile area of unincorporated King County surrounded by Renton, Tukwila, Seattle and Lake Washington . Forty-two highly trained, dedicated volunteers and seven career firefighters provide expertise in firefighting and emergency medical response. The professional staff teaches fire prevention and CPR training in Renton District schools. The administration and training center is an asset to the entire community and a valuable training facility for all personnel. I am committed to excellence in emergency medical and fire services now and in the future and welcome the opportunity to continue my service to the district and community. My goal is to foster and promote fair and common sense management and maintain a financially sound budget to ensure the future growth, the upgrading of equipment and advanced technological training for all personnel. I have over 25 years experience with the Seattle Fire Department, as a firefighter and officer. I serve on National Committees for Equipment and Standards, the Washington State Committee on Terrorism, Seattle's Metropolitan Medical Response Team, and as President of the SFD Relief Association. All activities include responsibilities for either budget, administration, or policies. I have lived in the Bryn-Mawr-Lakeridge area since 1986 and would like to serve this community.
