FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 27 COMMISSIONER POS. NO. 02, 6 YR TERM

Jim Needham

    I am asking for your vote for Fire Commissioner for Fire District 27. I am a 12 year resident of Fall City and understand the vital importance to our community that our fire department plays in delivering life saving and property preserving services.

    As our community grows, pressure on our tax structure move us to make difficult choices. We need a fire department that can provide reliable, timely, and cost effective fire and emergency services.

    We are facing major issues:

    • How to staff the department in the future;

    • What is the best balance of equipment we will need in order to protect the public’s interests; and,

    • How we maintain the highly skilled and motivated volunteer firefighters force.

    I ask for your vote and in return I give you my pledge to provide leadership, openness, and a commitment to maintain the best volunteer fire fighting team in the area.

Tommie L. Brice

    I started in Fall City as a volunteer fireman in 1967, becoming an EMT in 1973. I held the position of Captain and Training Officer for most of my 25 years of service. In that capacity I learned to let the “best interest of the public” be my guide, and never gave in to special interest.

    In 1989, I was elected as a Fire Commissioner, and I’ve been Chairperson of the board since 1991. In the last 34 years, I’ve been on many committees to purchase land, construct buildings, specify truck design, and develop training programs. I understand the needs, priorities, and legal requirements of the fire department.

    My vision for the future is to economically maintain the safest and most modern fire department possible.

    Other positions in the community that I’ve held are President of the Fall City Community Association and past Commissioner of the Fall City Water District.
