Ryan Terhune

Hello, my name is Ryan Terhune and I am running for Fire Commissioner of King County #28. I am running for this position because I feel with the increase in population of this area it is time to have a greater reliance placed on professional personnel. To meet the greater response load and reduce response times to the 2000 plus calls responded to every year. I believe that the greatest safety problems facing our community are, where the fire department can make the most impact in lives saved, in auto accidents and medical emergencies. Our community deserves to have trained professionals on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To ensure that our city has the level of E.M.S. and fire protection as other cities of similar population and size. I have been a professional firefighter/paramedic with the Lakewood Fire Department for the last seven years.
