In February, 2000
when the Fire District 40 commission was expanded to 5 commissioners, I was
appointed a new commissioner. I have lived in the fire district and the Fairwood
area almost 30 years. Retired from the State Farm Insurance Companies after 40
years in 1990. My activities since that time have been volunteer oriented, with
Renton Police, Renton School District and just prior to my appointment to the
Fire District commission I was a member of the departments’ Civil Service
Commission. It has been a great learning experience for me working with the
commission, the officers and fire fighters of the department. The department has
competent and professional people thoughout the department. I would like to be a
part of the progress that we anticipate in the district in the future to improve
what is already a good fire service. I will appreciate your support at the
polls.
