LAKEHAVEN UTILITY DISTRICT COMMISSIONER POS. NO. 02, 6 YR TERM

Don Miller

As an experienced commissioner, I pledge continued support on the following issues: high quality drinking water at affordable rates, ground water recharge, water conservation, interties and interlocal agreements with our neighbors. My affiliation with American Water Works and Water Environmental Federation keeps us (the board) current with new water technology.

Increased research and planning are helping us with our water reuse program. I have met with federal and state health officials and encourage cooperation to serve as a test area for water reuse projects.

It is my philosophy that the rate paying public is entitled to be treated fairly and that they should have direct access to policy makers who can address their concerns. I bring dedication, stability and accountability to our present board of commissioners.

My wife, Patti, and I have lived in Federal Way thirty-nine years and are dedicated to family, church and community service.

Betty Vance

My name is Betty Vance and I would like to introduce myself as a candidate for the position of Commissioner in the Lakehaven Utilities District. I have lived in Federal Way for over forty years and have seen many changes in our community and the effect this has had on the water-sewer district.

I am currently employed as District Manager of a special purpose water district in Puyallup, WA. With my fifteen years of effective customer service and management experience in this industry and daily experiences in working with district employees, consultants, county employees, and ratepayers, I would benefit Lakehaven residents, business owners, and employees in making fair and accurate decisions.

I hope to have the privilege to serve as your Lakehaven Water & Sewer Commissioner. Thank you.
