NO. 02, 4 YR TERM Laura Wishik Laura Wishik     The people of Vashon and Maury Islands have a limited opportunity to protect the places where we love to walk, ride horses, and enjoy nature. We are thankful to our predecessors who had the generosity and foresight to preserve Burton Acres and Agren parks. Now it is our turn. We need to protect the forested land at the center of the Island where so many of us love to wander. We need to create a park at the south end of Vashon to serve the families who live there. We need to preserve the trails that allow us to stroll and ride through woods and along pastures. We need to maintain access to our beaches.
