I believe the
Sammamish Community Council serves an important purpose by advocating for our
community, and preserving our neighborhoods unique character and viability. I
believe that as the area grows, a body that looks closely at zoning and traffic
issues from that neighborhood’s perspective serves to enhance the City of
Bellevue’s decision-making capabilities. Future growth and ensuing traffic
problems will require broad perspective to ensure livable neighborhoods for
future generations. I would like to be an advocate for our community and serve
as your representative for the issues we face in the future.
In my 26 years in
Bellevue I have been involved in PTSA, Campfire, Boy Scouts, Crossroads
Citizens’ Committee (which resulted in Crossroads Park), worked to pass the park
bond for the greenbelt trails, the Phantom Lake Advisory Committee and 10 years
on the Environmental Services Commission. I believe that this experience will
help me represent you.
