Kathy Lambert
|
|
Republican
Kathy Lambert has a proven record of community service and commitment to
representing the citizens of our area. A legislator for seven years, she has
served on the Appropriations, Judiciary, State Government, and Rules committees.
She is an elementary school substitute teacher. Kathy has adult children and
several grandchildren.
On the Appropriations committee, Kathy protected our tax dollars by reducing
the budget’s growth rate by nearly half what it was prior to her election,
reducing the number of boards and commissions, and improving the state’s bond
ratings. She sponsored several tax reduction bills, and held government more
accountable with welfare reform, developing the Unified Family Court, and
enhancing public safety by coordinating police and Department of Corrections.
Our quality of life depends on an improved transportation system. Kathy will
help the county work cooperatively with cities on traffic projects and focus on
reducing traffic congestion.
My priorities on the King County Council will be taxes, transportation
and criminal justice. I will see that tax dollars are spent wisely, helping
people to not lose their homes due to the burden of high property taxes, that
traffic congestion is reduced, and that our communities are safer.
I would appreciate your vote.
