METROPOLITAN KING COUNTY COUNCIL DISTRICT NO. 05, 4 YR TERM

Dwight Pelz

Democrat

King County government must act in the years ahead to protect our quality of life in the 5th District. County Council decisions will affect the safety of our homes and neighborhoods, our ability to travel to work and school, the affordability of housing for our young families, and the quality of our beautiful King County environment. For the past five years I’ve been your voice on the Council.

As your County Councilman, I work every day to help fix our roads and sidewalks, clean up our streets and parks, crack down on junk cars, and insure police protection. I’ve increased funding for parks in the Rainier Valley, Westhill, Georgetown, South Park, and Boulevard Park. I led the successful effort to restore funding for Metro Transit, insuring that our buses maintain their neighborhood service. I chair the salmon recovery task force for the Green-Duwamish River, and led the winning campaign to expand our bike trails.

I’ve earned endorsements from County Executive Ron Sims, the King County Labor Council, Renton Mayor Jesse Tanner, SeaTac Mayor Shirley Thompson, Burien Mayor Sally Nelson, Seattle City Council members, and dozens of neighborhood leaders throughout the district.

I hope I’ll have your continued support as well.
