Mary Fung Koehler’s strong resilient character has helped her endure physical,
mental and spiritual challenges which others might have found insurmountable.
Her background as a research chemist, lawyer, and real estate broker, combined
with the sensitivities gained from overcoming life’s obstacles, makes her an
excellent choice to represent your priorities on the council. She has
maintained a sense of dignity despite attempts to discredit her honesty and
integrity. Mary instinctively knows that it is the people of this diverse
community who conserve the trees of our neighborhoods, not government
regulations, permits or red tape. Strongly committed to repealing unnecessary
laws and taxes while maintaining our quality of life, she will not be influenced
by the same old special interests groups. Always ready to look at new ideas,
she knows that the people who live here are trustworthy enough to do the right
thing without needless governmental interference.

ARMANINI
As your Councilmember I
have dealt with many challenges - including the explosive growth of the City
through annexations and the consequences of voter approved initiatives and
actions of the State Legislature.
As we face issues of
the local impacts of the region’s transportation problems, housing options
(especially for young families and seniors), protection of our environmental
assets, and diminishing revenues, my experience, knowledge, hard work and
straight talk matter more than ever.
My background in
finance has served me well. With difficult choices before us, the Council must
work intelligently to reach consensus about city services and revenues and forge
partnerships to bring cost-effective programs to our residents.
My commitment to Lake
Forest Park remains strong. With your vote on November 6, I will continue to
work for those things that matter to our community.
