It has been a
privilege to serve you for the last four years. My first term has been marked by
key accomplishments: completion of the 85th Corridor, Totem Lake, and Downtown
Strategic plans; formation of a city/school partnership expanding the
recreational choices for citizens; and formation of a taskforce to address
affordable housing. I championed a world-class teen center, supported balanced
transportation solutions, and expanded the park system.
During my next term,
I will continue to work on current issues, as well as emerging concerns that
need my experience and commitment to good government. I will protect the
livability of our neighborhoods, promote a healthy business environment,
revitalize our senior services, and guard the financial strength of our city. I
will continue to ensure that Kirkland is a family-friendly and welcoming city.

This election is important because of all the people who can get you in debt - yourself, your husband, wife, or kids; your elected official is the one over which you have the least control. My opponent is an elected official who loves to spend money, not hers, yours. When she spends, we owe. Her voting record has been lavish and lush using money that could have gone toward solving some of the city's problems. So, I'm giving you a choice. Do you want someone who gets you deeper in debt or someone who will let you keep more of what you earn, at least for the next four years? It's your choice.
