List of Candidates for
CITY OF KENT COUNCIL POS. NO. 04, 4 YR TERM

Ted Kogita

When elected to the Kent City Council, I will represent all the citizens of the City, not just the special interest groups.

I will focus my efforts on the basic needs of the City, e.g. Police, Fire, Utility Services, and Transportation.

I will ask the hard questions of the City Staff, because they work for you and I can’t be snowed. You have a right to know in understandable terms what you are getting for your tax dollars and the impact of their proposals.

I will work to reduce the bloated size of the managerial staff of the City.

I will see that you are allowed to testify first on Public Channel 21. I will insist that your testimony is full and complete, not censored or abbreviated.

You will be pleasantly surprised when you elect me, Ted Kogita, your Kent City Councilman for the next four years.

Tim Clark

Tim, in his eighth year as a council member, currently serves on the Public Works, Planning and Operations committees.

Tim’s vision of Kent is one in which public services meet the needs of our residents and growth comes in an orderly process with citizen input. Proud of the council efforts to attract an ice skating rink to Kent and in the improvements at the Riverbend Golf Course, Tim believes in a varied recreation program. The opening of the 272nd and 196th Street corridors represents long-term investments in a better transportation system.

Having the highest bond rating for cities the size of Kent in the state is the direct result of strong fiscal management. Tim is an effective regional leader representing the Suburban Cities Association on growth management, salmon, and water related issues.

"The quality of our planning now will determine the quality of our city’s future."
