List of Candidates for
CITY OF KENT COUNCIL POS. NO. 06, 4 YR TERM

Bruce White

Your government must work more effectively. Bruce White is independent, thoughtful, innovative, and as a Councilmember, will represent you with energy and integrity.

GROWTH: Bruce White will promote policies for cautious, intelligent management of growth. As we’ve seen, when growth outpaces infrastructure, livability declines. Our city’s growth and public spending capacity must be linked to each other, balanced and realistically limited.

TAXES: Bruce White is committed to fiscal responsibility. You already pay enough in taxes. While the incumbent considers your tax dollars to be "Free Money," Bruce White knows that it is your money. He will represent you and be tough against special interests. Government must recognize that it is not their money; it is yours.

TRAFFIC: Bruce White considers local congestion relief a top priority. It’s obvious that what has been tried doesn’t work. It’s time to explore new approaches.

"I’d be honored by your vote."

Tom Brotherton
aised my family in Kent schools. I believe government must be efficient, listen to citizens and give good value in its services.

Kent has reduced its property tax rate every year I have served on the council. I will continue that tradition and keep taxes low and value high.

My approach:

• It is the council’s duty to ensure the City keeps taxes to the minimum necessary to provide the level of service you want.

• The purpose of the City is to enable everyone in the community to succeed to the best of their own abilities.

• Every issue needs to be approached with the attitude of "What’s best for ALL the citizens?"

• Protecting and improving our quality of life is the primary goal of City Government.

• We are all in this together. We must work together and move forward together.
