List of Candidates for
CITY OF RENTON COUNCIL POS. NO. 02, SHORT & FULL TERM :

Tim E.
SEGURA

The City of Renton needs to improve Quality and Customer Service. Poor quality translates into waste, mistakes, delays, and complaints. Renton needs new ideas and creative solutions that can energize the community to build a cohesive and pro-active city council. The same people keep running and re-circulating on the council, it is no wonder that the council is stagnant and ineffective. As your council member, I would support an immediate freeze on increased City fees and taxes; until a quality oriented plan with a well defined vision for Renton can be created. At the same time, there is an immediate need for increased recreational and performing arts facilities. Renton lags behind many smaller cities in modernization, growth, and development; working together we can "Improve Renton." For further details visit my website at www.TimSegura.com. Thank-you for your valuable time and consideration.

Rosemary
QUESENBERRY

Citizen safety is my top priority. I have lived in the Tiffany Park neighborhood for 18 years with my family. When our neighborhood was violated by a sexual predator, I was angry. My anger has transformed into motivation. Our convicted predator will be returning to our community within blocks of his victims. If elected, I would work to increase awareness and seek additional methods to protect citizens. I would work on reducing the city advertising expenditures. Transferring those dollars to improve aesthetics, recognizing a clean and safe city sells itself! Controlling the costs of utilities is also a matter of importance. Qualifications include a Master of Business Administration/Seattle University, Bachelor of Arts Business Administration/WSU. Currently serving as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Renton, served as Commissioner on the Board of Adjustments for the city, wife, mother and businessperson.

Dan
CLAWSON

Dan Clawson is Renton's current City Council President. For almost 6 years he has worked diligently for the citizens. People know that he is approachable and concerned, independent and experienced.

In this Centennial year, we have much to be proud of. Renton's downtown is being transformed into a vibrant center, with quality housing, a Performing Arts Center, and beautiful Piazza Park. We now have a Skate Park, the new Ron Regis Park and many additional sidewalks in our neighborhoods. Business revenues have made it possible to fund these projects without increasing property taxes or increasing the City's debt. Dan has been a force behind these accomplishments.

Dan's priorities for the future include: transportation improvements, a swimming pool, redevelopment of the Highlands, protection of our water and our open spaces, expansion of the Neighborhoods Program, and improved senior and youth services. He is committed to serving Renton and welcomes your vote.
