It is time the City of Shoreline lives up to the promises of Vision Shoreline. These include: neighborhoods safe from criminals; reasonable and legitimate land use; lower taxes; care for the environment, traffic control; and support for local business.
The current City Council, led by my incumbent opponent as mayor, has failed to deliver on these promises. In fact, the direction of the City needs to be changed and right away. For this to happen, Shoreline needs new leaders dedicated to listening to residents and businesses, not special interests and bureaucrats. That's why I'm running and you should vote for me.

I'm proud of what our city has accomplished in just six years, especially the substantial improvements in police, parks and infrastructure. Crime is at an all time low and with limited resources the council has budgeted conservatively. Yet we continue to provide quality services. I'm running for re-election to see that trend continue.
Shoreline is on the threshold of big accomplishments and visible change. The community has invested time and energy planning its identity and priorities for the Interurban Trail, Aurora, North City, Shoreline Pool, Paramount Park, Shoreview Park, the Neighborhood Traffic Safety Program and Ronald Bog. The city has received grants for many of these to leverage local resources. I want to see those plans through.
We have laid a strong foundation for the city. I will continue to listen to you and promote a sense of community through a balance of services, economic development and collaboration.

As a 25 year resident of Shoreline with almost 20 years history owning retail businesses on Aurora Avenue, I am uniquely qualified to draw on experiences as both a Meridian Park neighborhood activist and an Aurora corridor merchant.
I understand the concerns of homeowners to preserve the sanctity and quality of their neighborhoods while allowing for reasonable, compatible growth, and have fought actively for those goals during the Comprehensive Plan development process.
Of equal importance is the ability of Shoreline merchants to survive and continue to provide jobs, goods and services at affordable prices. As Co-Chair of the Aurora Corridor Improvement Council and Past President of the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce, I am absolutely committed to a safe and fair commonsense approach to the redevelopment of Aurora that will beautify and unify our city in a manner that improves traffic without jeopardizing businesses, jobs, taxes and neighborhoods.
