City of Algona
COUNCIL POS. NO. 05, SHORT & FULL TERM

Candidates:

David Hill — Nonpartisan

It's time for a change. I fought the city when they were holding secret meetings, and not including citizens in the process. When elected, I will vote to open up the government to the citizens. Citizens should be informed in advance of meeting agendas, not after. Algona will be adopting an amended Comprehensive Plan that determines the future growth of Algona. Citizens should determine what changes will be made, not special interests and developers.

I earned a Bachelor's in Accounting from CWU. I have operated a small business for 20 years, 7 years in Algona. I have been a resident 13 years; my wife's family, residents for over 25 years.

Algona's budget is over $5 million, are you getting your money's worth?  I will see that you get your moneys worth when I am in office.

Vote for Dave Hill, Putting Citizens First!  Your opinion will count with me.

It has been a pleasure to represent the citizens of Algona as a Councilperson for the past two years. It is both rewarding and challenging as I work toward keeping our local government efficient and effective. The City of Algona is an excellent place to live, work and raise a family. Its community values and small town charm are one of the many reasons I chose Algona to live and raise my children. There is a sense of community here that I believe should be maintained. Together we can maintain Algona's natural charm while working towards improving our shared quality of life. I believe together we can make a difference. Thank you for entrusting our City to me. I would appreciate your vote this election year.
