Our community deserves a school board that focuses on today's challenges while building on past successes. I am a strong supporter of differentiated teaching; one size does not fit all. We need to provide more choices, particularly at the secondary level, offering students multiple pathways to academic and emotional growth. The school board sets the fiscal and philosophical direction for our schools and must reflect the community's priorities. The turnover in the superintendent's office in recent years has been of considerable concern to our community. We now have a superintendent whose goals for our schools match the community's. I will represent all stakeholders and work with Dr. Simms to accomplish her goals so that she can enjoy a long, successful tenure.
